Sharjah is gearing up to host the fifth edition of the Sharjah Events Festival, which will take place from December 18 to 21, 2025, on Al Majaz Amphitheatre Island, gathering families and visitors together for four days of art, culture, and entertainment.
The festival, organised as part of the emirate’s annual events calendar, aims to provide an inclusive community experience that reflects Sharjah’s role as a capital of culture and innovation. It will offer a lively atmosphere filled with a variety of performances, workshops, and activities that appeal to all ages.
During the festival, the 2026 Sharjah Events Calendar will be unveiled, showcasing the emirate’s ongoing efforts to promote culture, creativity, and community engagement.
The festival will welcome visitors on Thursday and Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Visitors can look forward to a range of live shows, competitions, and prize giveaways throughout the festival. The event’s popular mascot, “Saqr,” will also make special appearances to meet families and children. They can hop aboard the Playtopia Express, the festival’s Fun Train, which will take them on a scenic tour of the various attractions across the site.
This year’s edition will shed light on young Emirati talent, giving them space to showcase their creative projects, food concepts, and artistic performances.
Dedicated zones will feature themed performances, interactive installations, and a culinary corner presenting live cooking demonstrations, contests, and sessions led by professional chefs. Children will have access to workshops and educational games that enrich their experience and inspire creativity.
To make the experience more convenient, a range of transportation and parking options will be available. Visitors can park at Al Layyah suburb near the government buildings and take free shuttle buses to the festival site. Additional parking is offered at Al Qasba, with complimentary boat rides to Al Majaz Amphitheatre, providing visitors a memorable journey across the water.
A key highlight of the programme is the Tourgane Family concert, featuring Tarek Al Arabi and his children, on December 20 at 8:00 pm on the main stage. Tickets for the concert are available via platinumlist.net, while general entry to the festival is priced at AED 20, and can be purchased online or at the Al Majaz Amphitheatre box office.
With its diverse programme and festive atmosphere, the Sharjah Events Festival continues to embrace the emirate’s cultural identity, and is expected to attract many visitors from across the UAE.
