HE Tariq Saeed Allay, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, said: “Everyone has a general understanding of what photography means, but the bigger concept of how images help us understand people, cultures, and the world is a different ballgame. Xposure 2018 is a global platform where we bring together different ideas, experiences, thoughts, impressions and seek to understand photographs as an immaterial reflection of the reality. Different images will provoke different understanding in everyone. Xposure 2018 is a space where we can build a greater understanding of the external world based on an overall understanding of the global environment.”
He added, “This year we have more than 35 photographers who bring with them over 700 years of experience. The scale and magnitude of their work encompasses a wide range of experiences. It’s an exciting and inspiring event, and visitors will definitely be able to learn something new about photography as well as themselves.”
