His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, said that on the 30th of November, which marks Commemoration Day, we remember the heroes of our nation who have ascended to Paradise in the afterlife, carrying their homeland in the pupils of their eyes and striving to shield it from harm and adversity, noting that this distinguished group—who served in various fields of duty and sacrifice—presented honourable examples that the sons and daughters of the nation take pride in, and whose memory becomes each year a great occasion to recall those who gave the most precious they had for their country, an honourable legacy cherished by generations and one that will continue to inspire them always.
“Commemoration Day reflects our wise leadership’s deep appreciation for all those who gave their lives in defence of our land and our honour. We remember their virtues and heroic stories with pride, dignity, and loyalty. It is an occasion on which we ask God Almighty to grant them mercy and forgiveness and to admit them into His vast Paradise alongside the righteous, the truthful, and the martyrs
