Sheikh Dr Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office, attended the second mass wedding in the Emirate of Sharjah, on Thursday afternoon. The ceremony, organised by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, took place at Al Bayt Mitwahid Hall in the Al Rahmaniyah suburb.
Upon his arrival, the Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office greeted the newlyweds and extended his congratulations, wishing them a life of stability, prosperity, and success. He highlighted that a united and happy family forms the foundation of personal achievement and the strength of society.
Sheikh Dr Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi and the attendees then enjoyed a series of performances by folk and national groups celebrating the second mass wedding, which brought together 1,100 brides and grooms from across the UAE. The performers presented traditional songs that highlighted the joy of the families and their love for the nation, showcasing authentic Emirati heritage.
At the end of the ceremony, the Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler’s Office posed for group photos with the newlyweds, who expressed their gratitude for his attendance and for honouring the occasion, celebrating the start of their married lives, the building of their families, and their role in returning the favour to the nation.
