His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Sharjah and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, attended the “Pledge and Promise” forum, organised by the Homeland Fund, on Wednesday at the Al Jawaher Centre for Events and Conferences.
Upon his arrival, His Highness was received by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Homeland Fund; Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Head of the Sharjah Finance Department; Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority; Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Districts Affair Department; SheikhaJawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director General of the Rubu’ Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators; Sheikh Engineer Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, Director of the Municipal Affairs Department; and several other senior officials.
His Highness the Crown Prince is proud of the UAE’s people feelings towards the wise leadership, which are demonstrated by initiatives such as the “Pledge and Commitment”, expressing loyalty and sense of belonging to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and illustrating the deep bond between the leadership and the people, built on trust, love, and a collective vision for the future.
His Highness praised the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, his strategic vision and qualitative initiatives that have contributed to consolidating the position of the UAE regionally and globally, stressing that His Highness’s insight paved the path of the UAE’s sustainable development journey, and established a successful national model that invests in people, empowers them to build a more prosperous future for future generations.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Sharjah praised the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Homeland Fund, in organizing the initiative, pointing out that it embodies the people of the United Arab Emirates' unity and solitude, bringing citizens and residents together with the shared values of giving, sincerity and working for prosperity.
His Highness affirmed that the UAE’s development and achievements were the fruit of a wise leadership.
The ceremony began with the UAE’s national anthem, followed by a film presentation on the initiative, its goals, its message, and its role in strengthening the values of belonging and loyalty across the nation's various groups.
During his speech, His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak affirmed that Sharjah represents a pioneering model in development and progress, thanks to the vision and support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, praising the achievements of the emirate that have made it an advanced center for education, culture, arts and human development, and a prime example to be followed in preserving heritage.
His Highness expressed his appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, commending his significant contributions and achievements in serving the nation and society. His Highness also thanked His Highness the Crown Prince of Sharjah for his generous support of the initiative, as well as His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, acknowledging their efforts in supporting Sharjah’s development and excellence.
His Highness stressed that the large turnout in the initiative demonstrates the love and loyalty that citizens and residents have for the wise leadership, reflecting unwavering confidence in the leadership of His Highness, the UAE President, and the achievements it has made, which have strengthened the UAE’s position globally.
His Highness Sheikh Nahyan added that the Homeland Fund will continue to support the initiative through a permanent electronic platform that allows everyone to express their feelings towards the homeland and its leadership.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Sharjah, along with His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, several sheikhs, and more than 20 public figures representing all segments of society in Sharjah, signed the “Pledge and Commitment” document.
The attendees also participated by signing digitally via smartphones, enabling them to support the initiative and help convey its message to as many people as possible.
