His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, presided over the Council meeting held on Tuesday at the Ruler's Office. The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.


During its meeting, the Council discussed a range of general matters related to the progress of government work, reviewed the public policies of government departments and authorities, and examined their role in achieving the vision and strategy of the Emirate of Sharjah.


The Council approved the organisational structures of both the Environment and Protected Areas Authority and the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, ensuring their alignment with each entity’s responsibilities.


The Council also discussed ideas to boost Sharjah's economy by attracting new and innovative businesses that use the latest technology and offer modern recreational activities. These plans aim to keep pace with rapid global developments and emerging skills across various sectors, providing residents with enriching and enjoyable experiences.


The Council further emphasised the importance of carefully examining new initiatives, working closely with the relevant authorities in Sharjah, and setting rules and guidelines to ensure that these activities are beneficial while honouring the nation’s cultural values and strengthening family bonds within the community.
