The two-day forum slated for March 20–21, champions the theme ‘Behavioural Change Towards Human Development’, and will be hosted at Expo Centre Sharjah, and is organised by the International Government Communication Centre (IGCC) – a subsidiary of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB).
Starting with a keynote address by Reem BinKaram, Director of NAMA; the panel session, moderated by popular media personality Munia Burnat, will hear from the following speakers: HE Nouf Tahlak, Advisor to Secretary General of the UAE Cabinet; HE Saleha Ghabish, Director General and cultural adviser at the cultural and media Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs; and Rania Rizk, Senior Vice President and General Counsel AMEA at PepsiCo.
The key pillars of the discussions will include role of social and educational organisations in achieving women’s active participation, addressing social perceptions of women’s role in society and economy, how can positive change be enforced to advance women’s leadership, and what how government communications can play a role in highlighting the success of women’s empowerment initiatives, campaigns and efforts in the UAE.
Speakers will shed light on the nature of partnerships required to be developed in the field that will further women’s engagement in public life and economic sectors.
Since its inception in 2012, the IGCF has been actively contributing to highlighting the importance of government communication in creating finest communication channels between governments and communities as per clear and transparent standards and professional rules in keeping up with the spirit of the Age. The IGCF has made a series of significant accomplishments that helped strengthen government communication in the UAE and the greater region.
