He lauded the efforts of the various Sharjah municipalities in facilitating the registration of electoral bodies’ members by devoting their staff and facilities to receiving citizens and helping them participate in the electoral process, which reflects their awareness of the importance of national participation in decision-making and choosing their representatives at the Sharjah Consultative Council.

This, emphasised Dr Bin Nassar, comes in translation of the vision and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Dr Bin Nassar said: “The historic phase witnessed by the Emirate of Sharjah is an extension of the great support given by the Ruler of Sharjah to the Emirate’s Consultative Council. The work done by the Council has resulted in the development and service of society and the provision of decent living for the citizenry.”

He called on the citizens of Sharjah to continue registering at the Emirate’s municipalities specified by the Committee for each area, namely Sharjah City, Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan, Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Madam, Al Bataeh, Maliha and Al Hamriya.

It is notable that the Sharjah Consultative Council was established under Emiri Decree No. (3) for 1999 by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to help in supporting and strengthening government entities towards the service of public interest.
