His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, stated that Commemoration Day, when the nation stands each year in reverence and pride for its martyrs, is a significant national occasion that embodies the highest meanings of honour and gratitude for the sacrifices of these heroes. He affirmed that they fulfilled their duty towards their beloved homeland, raising its flag high in the noblest fields of service and sacrifice, and reflecting an honourable image of the sons and daughters of the United Arab Emirates.
He added that every year, on the 30th of November, the memory of the martyrs returns as a reminder of their noble deeds, a national reflection on the lessons they left behind, and an occasion to take pride in them and celebrate their heroic acts and precious sacrifices. He noted that this comes with the highest levels of support from the wise leadership, which continues to ensure a dignified life for all citizens and provide the best care, keeping the human being at the centre of its priorities and programmes across all fields
