His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, said that the United Arab Emirates’ celebration of the 54th Eid Al Etihad embodies profound meanings of pride and honour, noting that the 2nd of December stands as a truly national day where loyalty and belonging are interwoven and where the values of patriotism and union—upon which the nation was founded through the tremendous efforts of the founding leaders and carried forward by our wise leadership—are reaffirmed. He added that these efforts have produced a pioneering state in all fields and a strong, cohesive society that continues to uphold these principles, values, and meanings year after year as it renews its celebration of the Union, the greatest national milestone and the source of the nation’s strength and progress.

As we mark the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad, we pause to draw lessons from the nation’s experience, which has presented a model of modern renaissance upon which societies and states are built. It has also offered an example of upholding noble and humanitarian values—solidarity, cohesion, unity, and the pursuit of knowledge—so that our country may continue, generation after generation, on its path towards greater prosperity, security, peace, and wellbeing.

On this cherished national occasion, I extend my congratulations to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates; Their Highnesses the Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers; and to the loyal people of the UAE.
