Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, said: "Martyr's Day is a national occasion in which we invoke all the meanings of giving to homeland, and we honour and remember the martyrs who gave their lives with all courage and valor."
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed added, in a speech addressed to the Nation Shield magazine, on the occasion of Commemoration Day: "Every year, the country celebrates the martyrs of duty who gave the precious, and the pledge is renewed that their sons, daughters, and all of their families remain a source of pride and honour.”
