The agreement was signed by Maryam Al Hammadi, Director of the Big Heart Foundation, Ahmed Al Khushaibi, CEO of Arada, and Hussam Shaheen, Head of Private Sector Partnerships in the Middle East and North Africa at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The agreement aims to work on building a large project that includes a group of housing and the provision of sustainable water sources for refugees and displaced persons in Kalobeyei camp in northern Kenya. For 44,986 refugees and displaced persons in the camp, in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The agreement provides for the provision of water to 8,275 families, totaling 43,211 people. The camp residents will directly benefit from the water infrastructure project that will be implemented by the Big Heart Foundation, and 20 liters of water will be allocated per day for each individual, in addition to providing 100,000 liters of water for the host communities surrounding the camp.
