His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed the creation of an alternative truck route to bypass Al Dhaid City, aimed at easing traffic flow, enhancing safety, and improving quality of life for residents.
In a phone interview on the “Direct Line” programme broadcast by Sharjah Broadcasting Corporation, His Highness said that truck movement through the city causes inconvenience to residents, making it necessary to implement practical measures to reorganise traffic and serve the public interest.
His Highness also ordered the relocation of government departments in Al Dhaid to new architecturally distinctive buildings to be constructed along the road linking Al Dhaid University Square and Al Dhaid Square, a move aimed at improving urban planning and enhancing public service efficiency.
His Highness further directed the construction of a new Al Dhaid Municipality building on the same road, designed as an architectural landmark that reflects the city’s identity and aligns with its future development plans.
