Darat Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi launched the "Piece of the Month" project, which aims to shed light, on a monthly basis, on one of the distinctive pieces from the collection of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, which represents exceptional achievements in various scientific and cultural fields.
The Darat chose this month's piece as Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance in its eleventh session, which was awarded to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in 2009, as the distinguished personality of the year during the closing ceremony of the award, in recognition of the keenness of His Highness in educating future generations, and expanding the frontiers of knowledge for the coming generations, contributing in underscoring the significance of Sharjah’s cultural identity through launching various initiatives that serve the field of education in the emirate.
