His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed the employment of 1,000 Emirati men and women within the Government of Sharjah during January 2026, as a continuation of efforts to employ citizens, following the recruitment of 3,145 citizens during 2025. Interviews for January vacancies are scheduled to commence from next Monday.
The directive of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah comes as part of a series of initiatives and directives under his direct supervision, which include the creation of additional jobs from time to time, in support of the citizens’ employment file, the empowerment of national cadres, and the strengthening of Emirati family stability. During 2025, new employees were distributed across central and decentralised entities within the Government of Sharjah. Appointments included 1,994 males and 1,151 females, at a cost exceeding AED 950 million.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah places great importance on the employment of citizens by providing further job opportunities that enable young people to play an active role in the comprehensive development process, form stable families enjoying a dignified standard of living, and supply government entities with qualified competencies that enhance the performance of government work.
