His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, said on the occasion of the 54th Eid Al Etihad that the celebration of Eid Al Etihad by the United Arab Emirates and its loyal people each year offers a renewed opportunity for national unity, where visions and ideas about the greatness of the Union come together. He affirmed that it renews the meanings of loyalty and belonging, highlights the country’s achievements across all levels, and spreads throughout all the emirates of our beloved homeland, reflecting the cohesion that is the fruit of this union and its strength, demonstrated by everyone in our interconnected and resilient society.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem stated: “Since the second of December 1971, when the founding fathers laid the first building block of the country’s union, all segments of society have followed their path for its progress and development. The wise leadership was the first to promote and uphold the meanings of unity in word and deed, enabling the dream of the Union to be realised. The country prospered, and development spread to various cities and regions, allowing the UAE to become a developed nation at the top of the ladder of progress, with its united people enjoying science, knowledge, development, and prosperity.”
