His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, stated on the occasion of the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad that the United Arab Emirates celebrates this national day as an occasion on which hearts come together in love for the homeland, and where grandparents, parents, and children unite to commemorate this timeless day in the history of our beloved nation. He affirmed that it is a celebration reflecting the grandeur of the occasion, embodying sincere joy and profound national belonging, and expressing the highest forms of patriotism, pride, and honour.
His Highness said: “On the 2nd of December each year, we renew our remembrance of the founding fathers who laid the solid foundations of the Union, envisioned a brighter future for our nation, and worked with sincerity and determination to realise it—together with every individual and institution across the country. Under the banner of unity and union, the United Arab Emirates embarked on a path of comprehensive development, progress, and advancement. As a result, the people of the UAE today reap the fruits of what the founders planted and of the dedicated efforts our wise leadership continues to uphold, elevating our society in all fields and enabling our nation to attain a distinguished standing among the countries of the world.”
Sharjah Crown Prince continued: “I extend my congratulations to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates; Their Highnesses the Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers; and to the loyal people of the UAE.
