His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed the Sharjah Institute for Heritage to expand, restore and revive Souq Sharq in Khorfakkan under a new concept called “Craftsmen’s Houses”.
The initiative aims to preserve the emirate’s cultural heritage while enriching Khorfakkan’s tourism and heritage offerings by creating an interactive environment where visitors can experience and learn about traditional handicrafts.
