His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed the start of the third phase of health insurance in the emirate, during a meeting with heads and representatives of government departments in Sharjah.
The third phase of health insurance in the emirate covering two categories: Insurance for the parents “father and mother" of the citizen employee of the Sharjah government and the Sharjah police. The second category covers inclusive medication in the University Hospital in Sharjah for citizens at the age 55 and above, regardless of their being beneficiaries of social assistance or not. More than 30,000 citizens benefit from the decision.
This directive was revealed by Afaf Al-Marri, Head of the Sharjah Social Services Department, during an intervention on the "Direct Line" programme, which is broadcast on the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.
