It had been a special night for music lovers as this is the first time the iconic Egyptian singer, actor, songwriter and director Tamer Hosny and popular singer and fellow countryman Ahmed Saad have come together to perform at the stunning Al Majaz Amphitheatre in the heart of the beautiful Khalid Lagoon in Sharjah.
The veteran duo rose to the special occasion to deliver a grand and truly memorable concert, treating the largely young audience to their most iconic songs from albums that have dominated the musical charts across the region. It had been a veritable treat for the UAE music lovers as the Egyptian duo dipped into their rich repertoire to offer a heady blend of magical melodies and enchanting Arabic poetry, celebrating the best of life’s experiences as well as the loftiest of emotions like love, loss and romance.
The evening began with Ahmed Saad rocking the audience with popular songs such as “You have eyes on me,” “I love you, my friend,” “Every day passes,” and other numbers that cherish everyday life experiences and emotions. The artist offers a rich variety in his songs, ranging from romantic to peppy foot-tapping numbers, attracting much applause from his fans.
The Sharjah audience interacted repeatedly with Ahmed Saad, who showcased various lyrical styles of romance from songs as diverse as “Al youm al halu” (It’s a beautiful day!) to “Saireena ya dunya” (O world, bear with me).
Tamer Hosny then took the stage amidst loud and rapturous cheering by his fans. Known as the “star of the generation,” Hosny enjoys huge charisma and has powerful presence on the stage. He performed a number of new and old songs including four hit new songs including “Haddalani” from his latest movie titled, ‘I Love You.’ The song "Haddalani" has been trending on various charts and has an essential part of all his concerts.
Hosni drove his fans delirious with a selection of his old and new songs. He totally dominated the stage with his unique style and artistic presence, repeatedly interacting and engaging with his audience, to the beat of romantic and rhythmic melodies. “Her laughter is not joking,” “Come back to me”, "Telephone Ring" and "Nassini Leh" had been amongst the many hit songs that the singer performed on the occasion. The artistic duo bid adieu to the Sharjah audience late into the night, hoping to return soon to perform once again at the iconic Al Majaz Amphitheatre. The concert, held as part of #LetsMajaz season, was organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau.
