The workshop was attended by members of the Government Communication Network representing various government institutions and departments in Sharjah had been aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities of workers in the field of government communication and employing the best international practices to develop work systems. The workshop focused on strategies to raise the efficiency of workers based on effective communication performance indicators.  

The workshop, presented by coach Ahmed Shahrouj, included many interactive activities and successful models that serve government communication departments in various agencies, helping them come up with new creative ideas, and enhance effective communication with other agencies by setting up performance indicators.

The workshop also emphasised the need to form relationships for effective communication and measurement and enhancement of its efficiency.

Huda AlDah, Manager of the Government Communication Department at SGMB, stressed that achieving international standards in communication and raising performance indicators in institutional work requires the authorities to employ the best scientific and communication tools, as the series of programmes and workshops organised for members of the Government Communication Network come within the framework of enhancing the efficiency of employees and improve overall performance of institutions.

AlDah added that the workshop focuses on skills that need to be refined and developed, allowing participants to employ tools and measures of effective communication, as several main sessions were devoted to the workshop, most notably “Introducing the Communication Model 360” and “Myers Scale for Personal Styles”, which focus on adapting Management style to meet the needs of employees, and allows participants to have the ability to communicate with co-workers based on the personality of each individual.

She stressed the importance of supporting the art of communication among the participants and enabling them to apply effective emotional intelligence through the two sessions "The Circle of Communication according to the Levels of the 360-Degree Model" and "Emotional Intelligence and its Role in Communication".
