HE Dr. Mudhafar Mustafa Al Jubouri, the Ambassador of Iraq to the UAE, toured the sixth Xposure International Photography Festival, and lauded the attention given to compelling issues impacting humanity through the lens of celebrated photographers from around the world.
He visited the various galleries at Expo Centre Sharjah where the festival runs until February 15 and was informed of the diverse range of topics highlighted by 70 Arab and international photographers through 45 solo and group exhibitions.
The Ambassador was briefed on the participation of Iraqi photographers under the umbrella of the Union of Arab Photographers. He applauded Sharjah Government Media Bureau for the efforts taken to organise the international event and hailed the vital role that Sharjah plays in building bridges between cultures. He also expressed his appreciation to the organisers for shedding light on the pollution of oceans and raising awareness of ocean conservation through the medium of photography.
