They shed light on the role of Sharjah Customs and educate the public about the development and future projects of the Department. The campaign will educate the society about the Department’s leadership in customs innovation and work to expand interaction with society connecting with them directly through various direct communication channels.
This is part of the Department’s efforts to encourage members of society and involve them in supporting the path of sustainable economic development as well as introducing them to the strategic role of the customs in protecting the country and facilitating the smooth trade movement to and from the country even during these extraordinary times of the Covid-19.
The campaign also aims to caution and protect the society against violations such as smuggling of prohibited substances like drugs and fake commercial materials that are harmful to public health. These measures are carried out in cooperation with a wide range of government agencies such as health departments, veterinary authorities, police, coast guard and others, besides continuous coordination and communication with the Federal Customs Authority and Customs Departments in the Emirate.
